Background: VAS (which stands Video and Audio Brodscasting Service Inc.) was formed in 1954 as a free-view channel. Today, their channel recieved a amount of 10,000,000,000 views on the country, making one of the America most viewed channels. It's also known for it's subsidiasries (for example KTNE, WESA, KAFU, and WAGH)

1st Logo
(1954-1967)

Logo: None really, but we can see the in-credit text saying: "This has been a VAS Production".

FX/SFX: None.

Music/Sounds: The closing theme of the show.

Availability: Extremely rare.

Scare Factor: Depends on which ending theme heard. It can range none to medium.

Nickname: "The VAS Oval I"

Logo: On a green background, the VAS logo (which has a red outlined oval with "VAS" on it) zooms in quickly. The logo stops zooming in, then "Entertainment" appears.

Variants:

  • On early episodes of the award-winning game show Win for the Money, the logo is still and in-credit.
  • On some shows, when the logo stops zooming in, "this as been a" appears above the logo with "production" below it. This was presented as the alternate version.
  • Starting in 1970, "Entertainment" is lower-cased and white.
  • On The Funny Drummers, "and" appears above the logo.
FX/SFX: The zooming in.

Cheese Factor: The zoom in is very rough, also "Entertainment" is not centered right.

Music/Sounds: The closing theme of the show or none.

Availability: Scarce. The 1965 version was seen on shows just like Win for the Money on GSN, and the 1970 version was seen on SuperBoys!, Walker And Anna, Bob The Cowboy, Seagull Underground, among other shows. Some shows including this logo were not re-aired for a long while, so check up your old video tapes for it.

Scare Factor: Low to medium, depending with your opinion of rough zoom-ins. The scare factor may rise a bit in the silent version.

3rd Logo

Logo:
We see on a white background the VAS logo from before, later, "Entertainment" fades in.

Variant: On episodes of Win for the Money from the time, the logo is already formed and in-credit.

FX/SFX:
The fading.

Music/Sounds:
Same as before.

Availability: Scarce. The logo is still retained on the game show Win for the Money in GSN. The original variant is seen on shows like Bananashake.

4th Logo
(1985-1992)

VAS Entertainment (1985)
Nicknames: "The VAS Oval III", "VAS Oval on Space I"

Logo: On a space BG, a 3D silver oval is seen zooming in. "VAS" in white it's also seen zooming out. The "VAS" text takes place on the oval, making "VAS Entertainment Inc." in yellow fade in below. The VAS logo "shines".

FX/SFX: The zooming, the fading, the shining.

Music/Sounds:
A calm 7-note acoustic guitar tune followed by a held deep synth note.

Variant:
On Win for the Money, the logo is superimposed in the closing credits.

Availability: Rare.

5th Logo
(1992)

Nicknames: "The VAS Oval IV", "VAS Oval on Space II", "VAS On Space Redux"

Logo: A enhanced vercion of the previous logo. This time, the space background is more realistic, and the company's name is in 3D, which is also shining.

FX/SFX: Same as before.

Music/Sounds: Same as before.

Availability: Extremely rare, seen only on 7 episodes of I Love You.

Scare Factor:
Same as before.

6th Logo
(1992-1997)

Nicknames:
"The VAS Oval V", "This is VAS"

Logo: On a black BG, we zoom out, and we see a rainbow circle with the VAS logo carved on it. While we zoom out, many lines form "Entertainment" in italics. The circle/logo shines.

Trivia: This was used as a national ID for their channel, without the "Entertainment" byline.

Variants: On Win for the Money, the logo is superimposed in the closing credits.

FX/SFX: Everything.

Music/Sounds:
A triumphant fanfare. Sometimes with the closing theme of the show playing on it.

Music/Sounds Variant: On Win for the Money, a announcer says "This has been a VAS Entertainment production."

Availability: Rare, seen on I Love You, Win for the Money, the TV movie You vs. Mark, and all shows having this logo.

Scare Factor:
Low to medium, due it's sudden appearance.

7th Logo
(1997-2002)

Nickname: "Gold VAS"

Logo:
We see a gold 3D VAS logo with "Entertainment" below it. The outlined oval, suddenly, spins one time. While this happens, the word "VAS" flips vertically, and "Entertainment" does the same thing. At the end, the parts of the logo stop spinning/flipping, and then shines from left to right.

Variant:
On Win for the Money, the logo is superimposed in the closing credits (see previous logo).

FX/SFX: Everything.

Music/Sounds:
Only a whoosh, followed by a twinkling sound.

Availability:
Uncommon, seen on shows and TV movies just like the revival of Seagull Underground, Win for the Money, I Love You, The Lost Kaboom, You've Been Laughed, etc.

Scare Factor:
Minimum, the logo isn't scary at all.

8th Logo
(2002-)

VAS Entertaiment (2002)
Nicknames: "VAS Skyline", "The New York Skyline"

Logo: We see a video of the New York skyline of Manhattan at the evening with the VAS logo in the top-right. Next to the VAS oval, a bright flash occurs, making "Entertainment" in italics.

Variant: For the logo 1st year, the logo is in a different New York skyline and "50 YEARS 1952-2002" appears below the VAS logo and "Entertainment".

FX/SFX: Everything.

Music/Sounds: Some jazz music, or a violin/trumpet fanfare.

Availability: Current, the logo still appears on episodes of Win for the Money, You've Been Laughed, and some much shows and TV movies.

Scare Factor: Minimal, the jazz music may get you. None for the fanfare version.
