MCA Home Video/Entertainment

Background: What if MCA Home Video continued? This is the result. Real logos can be found here.

3rd Logo

Logo: Exactly like the 1986 NBC Productions logo (slowed down version), but the NBC peacock is omitted. Also, the word "NBC" reads "MCA" in the MCA logo font and the word "PRODUCTIONS" reads "HOME VIDEO".

FX/SFX: All the animation in this logo.

Music/Sounds: A low-pitched version of the 1987 MTE logo's theme.

Availability: Seen on MCA video tapes from the period, such as the 1994 VHS of The Flintstones and the 1995 VHS of Casper.

Scare Factor: None.

4th Logo

Logo: On a blue gradient background, we see purple lines writing in. Suddenly, the word "MCA" in orange flys in. After that, the word "HOME VIDEO" fades in.

Variant: Starting in 2000, the word "HOME ENTERTAINMENT" replaces "HOME VIDEO"

FX/SFX: The lines writing, the flying, the fading.

Music/Sounds: A 10-note synthesizer tune similar to the 1975 MCA TV logo.

Availability: Seen on MCA video tapes and DVDs from the period, such as the 2001 VHS of Erin Brockovich and the 2000 DVD of The Family Man.

Scare Factor: None.

5th Logo

Logo: We see the enhanced version of the 1997 Universal logo (cut short). Suddenly, the logo then morphs into the enhanced version of the 4th logo.

FX/SFX: The morphing.

Music/Sounds: Exactly like the previous logo.

Availability: Seen on current MCA DVDs, such as the 2008 DVD of Death Race and the 2011 DVD of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.

Scare Factor: None.
