Ho! Video (Canada)

Background: This is the home video company of Homer Davis, which specializes on low-budget comedy and action films.

(1979-Early 1980's)

Nicknames: "The Card", "The Most Amateurish Logo Of All Time!"

Logo: On a black background, we zoom out and we see the word "Ho!" in a Sega-like font with the word "VIDEO" below. The logo then fades into a chroma-keyed black screen. After 3 seconds, the black screen fades away and the camera zooms out so we can see the word "Presents!" in another black background.

Trivia: This logo has been made by the owner of the company (Homer Davis) with a card which contained the logos and a video camera in a cafe during 1978.

FX/SFX: Only the zooming out...

Cheese Factor: ...and we don't know how anybody could get it wrong! The logo constantly stops prematurely. As you've seen in the Trivia section, the logo was made with a camera and a card. And if you look very closely to the right during the time the screen is black, you can see the card being flipped to reveal the next part of the logo. And also, was the exclamation sign after "Presents" really necessary? This whole logo lasts an entire minute, when it could have easily been done in 15-20 seconds. This is undoubtedly one of the cheesiest and most amateurishly made logos ever created.

Music/Sounds: People talking, and the sound of the card being flipped during the black screen.

Availability: Ultra rare. Seen on low-budget comedy and action home video films during the time, which today are very hard to find.

Scare Factor: None. This logo is not frightening, but you can laugh at it due to the cheesiness of the logo.
