Bellhouse Productions

Background: Bellhouse Productions was a production company formed and ran by Lilly Laney in 1983. In 1991, the company merged with Syndrome Entertainment Inc. to form Laney/Novice Productions, which ran out of Bellhouse's older facilities. In spite of the company name getting retired in 91' Bellhouse's last production was aired in 1992.

Trivia: Laney intended to keep the name of her company after the merger, but she was forced to change it to avoid confusion with the Bell Dramatic Serial Company.
1st Logo

Logo: On a dark blue background, we see a sketch of a bell tower encased in a rectangular frame. "BELLHOUSE Productions" is beneath it in a white script font.

FX/SFX: None, unless you count the logo fading in.

Music/Sounds: The closing theme of the program.

Availability: Extinct, even more so than the first Laney/Novice Productions logo. Was only seen on original broadcast prints of Child from Another Galaxy. The logo's existence was only confirmed through an image of the logo on the history section on Laney's website. CBS has removed this logo, along with those for Grosso Jacobson Productions, Centerpoint, Atlantis Communications and the first CBS Broadcast International logo on newer prints for what we could only assume is time constraints. Guess what they replaced the combo with?

Scare Factor: None.
2nd Logo

Logo: We see a rectangular picture of a bell tower against a cloudy sky. "BELLHOUSE PRODUCTIONS" is beneath the logo.

FX/SFX: None.

Music/Sounds: The closing theme of the program.

Availability: Rare. Very few films from this company were big hits. Your best bet to find this logo is the World Without You telefilm series which has been issued on VHS. The Laney/Novice Productions logo plasters this logo on DVD prints. It was also seen on the short lived drama series Countryside and the horror anthology series The Late Night Sessions.

Scare Factor: None.
