FX/SFX: None

Music/Sounds: None

Availability: Rare. This was only used for 5 years. Most movies that had this logo plastered it with the new ones. Some movies retain it.

Scare Factor: None, the logo is boring

2nd logo
(1980-1993)

Logo: On a colour changing background, we see the word "Anime" coming in from the left. Then, the word "Pictures comes in from under the right. It makes it stand out as "Anime Pictures". The colours are Red, Blue, Green, Brown and Purple.

Variants: In its early days, the words “Presents” in script would appear under the logo.
Sometimes, the colours would be different. There were a few colour variants too.
Sometimes, the logo would be still.

FX/SFX: All the animation in the logo!

Music/Sounds: A wacky fanfare with a horn and classical instruments. At the end, someone would say “Anime Pictures” in a Japanese-like voice. In later days, the voice was omitted.

Availability: Uncommon. It appeared on a lot of products Anime Pictures did but it is starting to be plastered with the newer ones. Still retained on DVD and VHS releases though.

Scare Factor: Minimal. The fanfare might get to some, but it is pretty much harmless
